The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Accounting and Economic Development Research Center is a key research base of municipal-level humanities and social science approved by the Guangzhou Social Science Planning Leading Group Office. The research center takes "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to create a globally competitive business environment" in the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan" as its general goal. Regarding future development, the research center has three main striving directions. First of all, the research center is committed to improve accounting service capabilities to promote area economic development. Secondly, carry out big data platform of financial and accounting supervision to promote the integration of industry and finance and financial innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Thirdly, strengthen new economics, new models, and new accounting research to promote the development of the digital economy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In order to achieve these ambitious goals, the research center tries to strengthen theoretical guidance and play the role of "think tank" or "brain trust" of experts in financial accounting and economic management to promote the conversion of major theoretical issues to application results. The ultimate goal of the research center is to promote the accounting and economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and contribute to Guangzhou's leading role as a national central city and a comprehensive gateway city.
